Description: Join us for an afternoon of advanced chemistry learning and fun with special scientist guests from Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Panel discussion topics in the Shanis Auditorium will include: *Fluorescent Materials to 2D Perovskites *Exerting Bio-catalysis potential of a novel fungal enzyme *Nanoporous Materials for Efficient Carbon Capture *What it takes to make it in the science field
Experiments will include: Blue Bottle, Genie in a Bottle, & Elephant Toothpaste Come for all or part of the time!
Instructors:
Wenxuan Li, is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in chemistry from Princeton University, and currently completing a summer co-op in bio-catalysis at Merck.
Kunyu Wang. I earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Nankai University and obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. Currently, Dr. Wang is a postdoctoral fellow working with Professor Shu Yang and Professor Christopher Murray at the University of Pennsylvania
Xincheng Liu, obtained a Master in Chemistry from University of Sheffield in the UK, and now is a first year Ph.D. student in chemistry from NC State University. Currently, I'm doing research on chiral halide organic-inorganic perovskite.
