Upper Dublin Township seeks a qualified individual for the position of Assistant Zoning Officer within the Community Planning and Zoning Department. Responsibilities of the position will involve, but are not limited to: various administrative tasks, communication with a diverse public, intake and processing of zoning and planning-related applications, and records management.
Candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively, maintain strict legal deadlines, provide excellent customer service, and be available to attend some evening public meetings and hearings. The position requires computer skills and proficiency in using office software and applications for communication and data management.
A bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in urban planning, geography or another related field.
Previous administrative or office support experience and a strong interest in developing a career in planning and zoning are preferred.
There is a six (6) month probationary period for this position. During the probationary period, the salary will be $58,500. After successful completion of the probationary period, the salary range will be $60,000 to $70,000. The position boasts an excellent benefits package.
Candidates must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. The successful applicant will be expected to pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening test as part of the application process.
