Rental Properties
Rental Unit Regulations
In 2008, the township adopted rental unit regulations and amended them in 2010 in order to:
- Protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare of residents within the township
- Establish the obligations of both owners and tenants of rental units within the township
- Improve the maintenance and quality of rental units by compliance with applicable codes and ordinances of the township
- Require the licensing of rental units and to establish procedures for the issuance of formal warnings, and the non-renewal and suspension of such license
Rental Housing License Application
Property owners are required to register rental units with the Township and pay an annual fee based upon the number of dwelling units in a building in order to receive a Housing License. Fees can be found in the Permit Price List.
Please complete the rental housing application and return it to Upper Dublin Township at 370 Commerce Drive, Fort Washington, PA 19034 or tpurshock@upperdublin.net.
NOTE: As of September 3, 2024, a non-refundable processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions made through Upper Dublin Township (program registrations, permit fees, bulk trash payments, etc.). Processing fees are paid directly to a third-party credit card vendor and are not paid to the Township.
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. To avoid a processing fee, the Township can accept payments via cash or check.
