Who Can Obtain a Copy of a Police Report and/or Investigative Record?
Criminal and non-criminal investigative records and reports generated by, or in the possession of, the Upper Dublin Township Police are not subject to public access under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law (RTKL), 65 P.S. §67.101 et seq.
Upper Dublin Township Police provide redacted report information to victims upon written request. The requests must be made by the victim, the victim’s attorney and / or the victim’s insurance representatives. A summation document indicating that you were a victim in an incident that was reported to the Upper Dublin Police Department will be prepared. The report information typically identifies the offense, time and date of occurrence, time and date the activity was reported, location of the activity and the name of the officers who responded to the call. Unless authorized by statute a record subpoena is required for access to investigative reports.
When to Submit Your Request
You may request a record any time after the incident; however the record can take up to 15 business days before it become available.
Fees and Required Documents
A record request form is required. The request form is to be signed and submitted to Upper Dublin Police Records Department for review. Please submit records request form to the Upper Dublin Police Department in person, by email or by mail:

The Records Department will contact you directly to notify you if your request has been approved or denied. Upon approval, you will be given the fee required for your approved records request (Click here for FEE CHART). Please note, payment is not made until your request has been approved by the Records Department. If you have any questions, please contact Corinne Dorn at corinne.dorn@udpd.us.
NOTE: As of September 3, 2024, a non-refundable processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions made through Upper Dublin Township (program registrations, permit fees, bulk trash payments, etc.). Processing fees are paid directly to a third-party credit card vendor and are not paid to the Township.
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. To avoid a processing fee, the Township can accept payments via cash or check.
